PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

onchnia.vip is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as "OnChnia," a branded crypto investment service. It targets people looking to grow crypto holdings through a platform that appears legitimate. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-09. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its scam content.

How the scam works

Scanners classified the "OnChnia" page as an investment and crypto scam. Schemes like this copy the look of a real trading or yield platform, show visitors a polished dashboard with rising balances, and push them to fund an account. When victims try to withdraw, the site asks for more deposits, "taxes" or "unlock fees." The money never comes back. Some versions also ask the visitor to connect a wallet, which exposes the victim to malicious transaction or approval requests.

Evidence

Eight of 92 VirusTotal engines flag the domain as of 2026-10-13: alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and URLQuery. That is a modest share of engines, but it includes several major endpoint vendors. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and tagged the page as both an investment scam and a crypto scam. MetaMask and SEAL list the domain alongside PhishDestroy, so wallet users with those protections should see a warning. Two AlienVault OTX threat pulses also reference it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2025-10-18 through Gname.com Pte. Ltd., almost a year before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests either a pre-registered domain held in reserve or an operation that ran quietly for months. The site sits behind Cloudflare, Inc. on an address geolocated to Canada, so the real origin server is not visible.

What to do

Do not deposit anything more, and ignore any demand for a fee, tax or verification payment to release funds. Those payments are part of the scam. If you connected a wallet, revoke any token approvals granted while on the site, and move remaining assets to a fresh wallet if you signed anything you did not understand. If you entered an email or password, change it wherever you reused it and turn on two-factor authentication. Keep transaction hashes and screenshots, and report the loss to your local authorities and to any exchange that received the funds. Defenders should block onchnia.vip at DNS and the proxy, and search logs for users who visited it.
