amicohome.shop presents itself as Amico, a home-lighting retailer. Its page title is "Modern LED & Farmhouse Lighting | Amico." PhishDestroy classifies it as an e-commerce scam: a fake online shop aimed at people furnishing or renovating their homes who are looking for discounted fixtures. We first flagged it on 2026-10-01. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online with its storefront content live.
How the scam works
Fake lighting shops copy the look of a boutique decor brand, with pendant lamps, chandeliers and farmhouse sconces priced well below normal retail. The shopper fills a cart, enters a name, delivery address and card details, and pays. The usual result is that nothing ships, or a cheap item unlike the one pictured arrives. Victims lose the purchase price and hand their card and contact details to the operators. Those details can be reused for further charges or follow-up phishing.
Evidence
On 2026-10-01, 8 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue, SOCRadar and Webroot. That is a minority of engines, but it is a meaningful signal for a shop that otherwise looks ordinary. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and specifically identified the page as a fake shop. The domain also appears in two AlienVault OTX threat pulses. On the blocklist side, PhishDestroy currently lists it.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-04-21, about five months before we detected it. That gap is long enough for a storefront to be built out and promoted before anyone reports it. The site is hosted on an IP address announced by Malakmadze Web LLC, a network registered in Georgia, with the server itself geolocated in the United States. The free Let's Encrypt certificate only provides the browser padlock and says nothing about whether the shop is legitimate.
What to do
If you placed an order on amicohome.shop, contact your card issuer or payment provider now, report the charge as fraud and request a chargeback. Ask whether the card should be replaced. Watch your statements for small test charges, and treat emails about "shipping problems" or "order verification" from this shop as phishing. If you created an account there, change that password anywhere else you reused it. Security teams and payment providers should block the domain and its hosting IP and add it to e-commerce fraud filters.
