PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

This is an impersonation phishing page hosted as a user app on Replit. Its hostname, which begins with "security-server-page", is built to look like an official security or account-verification step. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-13. On 2026-10-19 the site was still alive and its content was reachable through a redirect.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages like this borrow the look and language of a trusted service, often presented as an urgent security check. The victim is pushed to type in login details, verification codes or wallet recovery information, and the operator collects them. Those credentials can then be used to take over accounts or empty funds. The current page title reads "This app isn't live yet", which is Replit's placeholder text, while we classify the app as impersonation phishing.

Evidence

On 2026-09-19, VirusTotal showed 22 of 89 security engines flagging the address as malicious, which is a substantial number of independent vendors for a single app subdomain. The flagging vendors include BitDefender, ESET, Emsisoft, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, CyRadar, Ermes and the Vietnamese anti-scam group Chong Lua Dao. The PhishDestroy blocklist carries it as well.

Infrastructure

The replit.app parent domain was registered on 2021-04-16 through Nom-IQ Limited dba Com Laude and belongs to the platform, not to this operator. Its age says nothing about how long this particular app has existed. Traffic resolves to Google LLC infrastructure in the US, and the TLS certificate comes from Google Trust Services (WR3). Because the certificate is issued at the platform level, the browser padlock offers no assurance that this page is legitimate.

What to do

If you entered a password on this page, change it right away on the real service and on any other site where you reused it, then turn on or reset two-factor authentication and sign out of all active sessions. If you typed in a wallet recovery phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and move your funds to a newly created wallet. Defenders should block the full hostname, report the app to Replit's abuse team for removal, and search proxy and mail logs for users who opened it.

No. PhishDestroy classifies security-server-page--jhalskov68.replit.app as a Google impersonation page (risk: critical, 100/100); it was first detected on 2026-09-13. VirusTotal: 22/89 engines flag it. Treat the site as unsafe.

Is security-server-page--jhalskov68.replit.app safe to connect a wallet?

No. Do not connect a wallet, sign messages or approve tokens on security-server-page--jhalskov68.replit.app. Phishing sites ask for approvals (approve, setApprovalForAll, Permit2) that let the operator move your assets, and a confirmed transaction cannot be reversed.

After a phishing incident

Recommendations & Advice for Victims

Choose the steps that match what you shared. Keep a copy of this report alongside your own records.

What should I do immediately?

Urgent

Stop using the suspicious site. Open the real service through its official app or an address you already trust.

  • Change all passwords — email, exchange accounts, anything that shares the same password
  • Enable 2FA using an authenticator app (not SMS). Disable SMS-based recovery
  • Freeze cards if you entered banking details on the phishing site

What information should I collect for my report?

FBI guidelines

Keep original emails, receipts, messages and screenshots in a secure place. A factual timeline helps the receiving authority understand what happened. IC3 evidence guidance ↗

  • Payment records — if you paid, save the receipt, amount, date, payment provider and recipient details.
  • Exact dates & times — of each transaction and first contact with scammer
  • Screenshots — scam website, chat messages, emails, wallet transactions, social media
  • All URLs & domains used by the scammer (including security-server-page--jhalskov68.replit.app)
  • Communications — emails, texts, phone numbers, usernames the scammer used

Even if you don't have all details — file a report anyway. Partial information still helps investigations.

Where should I report the scam?

  • FBI IC3 — Internet Crime Complaint Center (US federal reporting)
  • Europol — European cybercrime reporting (EU)
  • Your bank or payment provider — contact its fraud team promptly through official contact details if money or card information was exposed.
  • Local police — creates an official record, even if they can't act immediately

A report is not a guarantee of recovery or investigation, but prompt, accurate transaction data can help authorities and service providers trace the incident.

How do phishing scams typically work?

  • Fake websites — pixel-perfect clones of legitimate sites with slightly altered domains
  • Pig butchering — trust built over weeks via Telegram/WhatsApp/dating apps, then money stolen
  • Recovery scams — fraudsters pose as recovery agents and demand upfront fees. Never share a seed phrase or pay before independently verifying the provider
  • AI-powered scams — deepfakes, automated phishing, and AI-generated sites making fraud harder to detect

How can I protect myself in the future?

  • Bookmark official sites — never click links from emails, DMs, or ads
  • Verify domains — check on PhishDestroy before interacting. Check HTTPS, spelling, domain age
  • "Too good to be true" = scam — guaranteed returns, celebrity endorsements, urgent deadlines
