List the paths added, removed or changed between two JSON documents
Text Diff Viewer
Use Text Diff Viewer
What it does
Paste two versions of a text and see which lines differ, marked - for the original line and + for the changed one. Works best on texts with the same structure, such as two WHOIS records, two header blocks or two kit config files.
It runs entirely in your browser: nothing you enter is uploaded.
Example
WHOIS snapshot (Text A)
Domain Name: login.example.com
Registrar: Example Registrar
Domain Status: ok
Name Server: ns1.example.netDomain Name: login.example.com
Registrar: Example Registrar
- Domain Status: ok
+ Domain Status: clientHold
Name Server: ns1.example.netText B is the same record after a registrar hold: only the Domain Status line is marked as changed (ok removed, clientHold added).
FAQ
How are the texts compared?
Line by line by position: line 1 of A against line 1 of B, line 2 against line 2, and so on. Equal lines are shown in grey, different ones as a - line from A and a + line from B, and extra lines at the end as removed or added.
Why is everything marked as changed after I inserted one line?
Lines are not re-aligned the way diff or git diff do it, so one inserted or deleted line shifts every following line and they all show as changed. Keep both texts in the same order, or sort both first.
Is the text sent to a server?
No. The comparison runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
