JSON Diff

Runs locally

Use JSON Diff

What it does

Paste two JSON documents and get a table of every path that was added, removed or changed, with old and new values. Useful for comparing an RDAP or API response before and after a takedown.

It runs entirely in your browser: nothing you enter is uploaded.

Example

Domain record before a takedown (JSON A)

Input
{"domain":"login.example.com","status":"active","ns":["ns1.example.net","ns2.example.net"]}
Output (captured 2026-10-20)
PATH	CHANGE	DETAIL
status	changed	"active" → "suspended"
ns.1	removed	"ns2.example.net"
ip	added	"192.0.2.10"

JSON B is the same record after the takedown: the diff shows the changed status, the shorter name-server list and the added ip key.

FAQ

How are differences found?

Both inputs are parsed and walked key by key: each path is reported as added, removed or changed (old → new), nested objects are followed (action.ttl) and arrays are compared index by index (ns.1). Key order is ignored, and equal documents show Identical.

What are the limits?

Array items are matched by position, so inserting one item reports every later index as changed. Compare objects or arrays: two plain top-level values such as 5 and 6 are reported as Identical, and an array is not told apart from an object with the same index keys.

Is my JSON uploaded?

No. Parsing and comparison run in your browser and nothing is sent.
