FAQ

How does the emoji favicon work?

The emoji is placed as text in an SVG inside a data: URL, so each visitor's browser draws it with its own emoji font, and it looks slightly different on Windows, macOS and Android.

Will every browser show it?

SVG favicon support varies between browsers and versions, so keep a PNG or ICO fallback if every visitor must see the icon; this tool does not create those files. Use emoji or plain letters only: the text is inserted unencoded, so characters such as #, % or < break the URL.

Is the emoji uploaded anywhere?

No. The link tag is assembled in your browser; nothing is uploaded and no image is hosted for you.
