How the scam works
Impersonation pages like VentraCore copy the look and language of a legitimate crypto service so visitors believe they are on a real platform. From there, the victim is usually pushed to connect a wallet, sign a transaction, enter login details or a recovery phrase, or deposit funds into what appears to be an account balance. Anything entered or signed goes straight to the operators. Seed phrases and malicious signatures can empty a wallet, and deposits made to a fake platform are not recoverable through the site itself. urlscan.io tagged the page with its generic cryptoscam brand label, which fits this pattern.
Evidence
Ten of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-13. Vendors named in that result include alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft and Kaspersky. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict. The domain also appears on wallet-focused blocklists run by MetaMask and SEAL, in addition to PhishDestroy's own list. It is referenced in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which means other researchers have independently tracked it.
Infrastructure
The three-day gap between registration on 2026-10-06 and detection on 2026-10-09 matches a site built for a short burst of use rather than a lasting business. The domain was registered through GNAME.COM PTE. LTD. Traffic is routed through Cloudflare's network, geolocated to Canada, so the visible IP belongs to the proxy rather than the operators' own server. The Let's Encrypt certificate gives the site a padlock in the browser, but it only proves an encrypted connection and says nothing about legitimacy.
What to do
Do not connect a wallet, sign anything or deposit funds on ventracore.app. If you connected a wallet, revoke any token approvals granted to unfamiliar contracts with a trusted approval checker, and move remaining assets to a fresh wallet. If you typed a recovery phrase into the site, treat that wallet as compromised. If you reused a password or email login there, change it everywhere and enable app-based 2FA. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and add it to crypto-related phishing filters.
