Its page title belongs to S M Steels, an authorized dealer of TMT bars, beams and MS pipe, while our classification is ConstructConnect impersonation.
How the scam works
Lures that use the ConstructConnect name usually arrive as an email about a new bid opportunity, a shared plan set or an expiring project invitation. The link sends the recipient through a redirect to a page styled as a ConstructConnect login or document viewer, which asks for an email address and password before anything opens. Those credentials go to the attackers, who can use them to read business email, send fresh lures to the victim's contacts, or tamper with payment and invoice conversations.
Evidence
urlscan.io rated the site malicious and recognized ConstructConnect branding on the page. On VirusTotal, 6 of 92 engines flagged it as of 2026-10-07: Criminal IP, alphaMountain.ai, Chong Lua Dao, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a small share, so many security tools will still let the site load. The domain also appears in 30 AlienVault OTX pulses, which shows other analysts have tied it to threat activity. PhishDestroy is currently the only blocklist listing it.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2008-01-24 through BigRock Solutions Ltd., more than eighteen years before it was flagged. That makes it a long-established domain carrying a steel dealer's name, not a fresh throwaway registration, which helps it get past filters that distrust new domains. It is hosted on Network Solutions, LLC in the US and uses a Let's Encrypt certificate. The padlock in the browser therefore says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
