track.careweigh.com served a page titled "JangoMail" that copied the branding of the bulk email and marketing service, built to trick that platform's users into trusting it. PhishDestroy classified it as impersonation phishing and first detected it on 2026-09-24. The site went offline the same day, and as of 2026-10-19 its DNS no longer resolves.
How the scam works
A "track" subdomain looks like the click-tracking links that email platforms put in campaign messages, so a lure pointing there can seem routine to someone who handles mailings. The visitor lands on a page branded as JangoMail and is asked to sign in or confirm account details. Anything typed there goes to the operators. A hijacked email-marketing account is valuable because it can send large volumes of mail from a trusted sender, which makes it a launch point for further phishing, including crypto scams aimed at that account's contact lists.
Evidence
When VirusTotal checked the domain on 2026-09-25, 12 of 91 engines flagged it. The vendors included BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, Lionic and CyRadar. Agreement from about a dozen established engines is a solid signal for a page that was live only briefly. PhishDestroy's own blocklist also lists the domain.
Infrastructure
careweigh.com was registered through BigRock Solutions Ltd. on 2024-07-14, more than two years before the phishing page appeared. The domain name has no visible link to JangoMail. It is more consistent with an older domain being repurposed, or a subdomain added to it, than with a lookalike registered specifically for this attack. The page was hosted at 3.225.245.143 in the United States, and it disappeared from DNS within the day PhishDestroy detected it.
What to do
If you entered a JangoMail username and password on this page, change that password right away. Do the same anywhere else you reused it, then turn on two-factor authentication. Check your JangoMail account for unfamiliar sending activity, new API keys, added users or changed sender addresses, and warn your recipients if anything was sent without your approval. Security teams should block the domain, search mail and proxy logs for clicks to it since 2026-09-24, and reset credentials for any user who reached the page.
