Overview

motiontrading.app presents itself as a sophisticated cross-chain trading automation service under the brand name Motion. It targets DeFi and crypto wallet users who are looking for automated trading tools. PhishDestroy first identified it on 2026-10-07, and as of 2026-10-18 the site remains fully live with active content.

How the scam works

Wallet drainers of this type lure users into connecting their crypto wallets to what appears to be a legitimate trading platform. Once a wallet is connected, the site prompts the user to sign malicious transactions or grant unlimited token approvals, allowing the attacker to transfer assets out of the victim's wallet without further interaction. The polished branding around 'the most advanced cross-chain trading automation' is designed to build enough trust that users proceed through the connection flow without suspicion. The result is a complete or near-complete loss of all tokens and assets held in the connected wallet.
