PhishDestroy threat report
ledgrr-com-hlp.wasmer.app is a phishing page that impersonates Ledger, the hardware wallet maker. The misspelled "ledgrr" and the "hlp" tag in the hostname are meant to read as an official Ledger help site at a glance. It targets people setting up a new Ledger device or looking for Ledger Live. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-11, and the page was still online with its content live on 2026-10-19.
The page is titled "Ledger.com/Start® – How to Install Ledger Live & Initialize Device", which copies the wording of Ledger's real onboarding flow. Visitors who think they are following official setup steps are led into the scam. Fake Ledger setup pages usually ask the user to type in their 24-word recovery phrase or to install a counterfeit Ledger Live app that requests it. Anyone who holds that phrase can rebuild the wallet on their own device and empty it. Transfers made this way cannot be reversed. A real Ledger device never asks for its recovery phrase on a website or in an app.
Several independent sources support the Ledger impersonation classification. On 2026-09-24, VirusTotal showed 16 of 89 engines flagging the page, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, G-Data, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, AlphaSOC and Ermes. urlscan.io rated it malicious and recognized the Ledger brand on the page itself. Spamhaus lists the hostname in its DBL as phishing, which matters because many mail filters and resolvers check that list. It is also on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
The page runs as a subdomain of wasmer.app, a shared hosting platform. The registration date of 2018-10-16 therefore reflects the platform's own domain, not when this scam was set up. Its age gives no clue about when this phishing page appeared. Traffic resolves to Scaleway (AS12876) in France, and the page uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate. The padlock in the browser only means the connection is encrypted, not that the site is legitimate.
If you entered your recovery phrase on this page, treat the wallet as compromised. Set up a new wallet with a fresh phrase on a genuine device and move any remaining funds to it right away. If you downloaded a "Ledger Live" installer from it, delete the file and scan your computer. Get the software only from Ledger's official site. Security teams should block the hostname at DNS and the mail gateway, and report the subdomain to Wasmer so it can be taken down.
For the registrable domain wasmer.app behind this subdomain, the registrar above operates under an ICANN accreditation agreement. The links below provide the official fee schedule and current DNS abuse compliance guidance.
