PhishDestroy threat report
backtotherootsofficial.shop presents itself as an "Official Store" for seeds. Its name suggests an authorized outlet of a "Back to the Roots" gardening brand, which makes it appealing to home gardeners searching for that label. PhishDestroy classifies it as an e-commerce scam and first flagged it on 2026-10-10. On 2026-10-19 the site was still online and its storefront content was live.
The page title, "Official Store | Seeds," frames the site as the brand's own shop. Fake storefronts like this usually copy product photos and descriptions and lure buyers with attractive prices or "sale" banners. At checkout the victim hands over payment and card details. Typically nothing ships, or a worthless substitute arrives, and the victim's name, address and payment information stay with the operators for reuse.
Nine of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-15. Detecting vendors include alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue and SOCRadar. That is a modest share of engines, but it comes from a spread of independent vendors. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and specifically identified the page as a fake shop. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as spam, and it appears in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses alongside the PhishDestroy blocklist.
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-06-06, about four months before PhishDestroy detected it. That interval is consistent with a shop built out quietly before being promoted. It resolves to an address announced by Malakmadze Web LLC, a network registered in Georgia, while the IP geolocates to the United States.
If you ordered from this site, contact your bank or card issuer now, report the charge as fraud and request a chargeback. Do this before dispute windows close. Ask for a replacement card if you entered card details. Expect follow-up phishing that uses your order details, and treat "shipping problem" or "refund" messages with suspicion. If you created an account here and reused that password elsewhere, change it on those other accounts. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy layers and take advantage of its existing Spamhaus DBL listing in mail filtering.
