PhishDestroy threat report
backtotherootsgear.shop is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as an "Official Store | Organic Seeds," borrowing the look of a legitimate gardening brand to draw in home growers and seed buyers. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-10. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its storefront.
The page poses as a brand's official shop and uses the "Official Store" label to make visitors trust it. Shoppers browse what looks like a normal catalogue of organic seeds and gardening gear, often at tempting prices, then enter shipping details and pay at checkout. In schemes like this the order never arrives or a worthless substitute is sent. Card numbers, billing addresses and contact details entered at checkout can also be reused for fraud or sold.
urlscan.io rated the site malicious and specifically marked it as a fake shop, which matches the storefront behaviour. On VirusTotal, 8 of 92 engines flagged it as of 2026-10-15: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue, Netcraft, SOCRadar and URLQuery. That count is modest, so many browsers and security tools may still load the page without warning. The domain also appears in 2 AlienVault OTX threat pulses and is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-07-20, about 82 days before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap leaves room for the storefront to be built and promoted before anyone reported it. The site is hosted in the US on AS199242, Malakmadze Web LLC. Its HTTPS padlock comes from a free Let's Encrypt certificate, which shows only that the connection is encrypted, not that the shop is genuine.
If you paid on this site, contact your card issuer or bank right away to dispute the charge and ask for the card to be replaced. Watch your statements for unfamiliar transactions. If you created an account, change that password everywhere you reused it, and treat follow-up emails about "delayed orders" or "refunds" as further phishing. Buy seeds and garden supplies only through a brand's site that you reach yourself, not through ads or search results. Defenders should block the domain and its hosting IP at web and mail gateways, and report the storefront to payment processors and the registrar to speed up takedown.
