Overview

webggg.com presents itself as WEB3.AI, borrowing that name as its page title to pass as the genuine project. It targets crypto users looking for WEB3.AI, and its presence on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists points to wallet holders as the main audience. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-15, the same day the domain was registered. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its phishing content.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages like this copy a project's name and look so visitors believe they are on the official site. Once trusted, the page typically pushes a prompt such as connecting a wallet to claim tokens, verify an account or access a feature. It may also ask for login details or a recovery phrase. Whatever the visitor enters or signs goes to the operators, so victims can lose account access or the crypto held in a connected wallet.

Evidence

Eleven of 89 VirusTotal engines classified the domain as malicious on 2026-09-23. The flagging vendors included BitDefender, Kaspersky, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, CRDF and alphaMountain.ai. Spamhaus lists it in its domain blocklist under the phishing category. Wallet-focused lists from MetaMask and SEAL block it as well, and five AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it. Because so many independent sources agree, this is unlikely to be a false positive.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Cloudflare, Inc. on 2026-09-15 and was caught the same day. That timing fits a site set up for immediate use. It sits behind Cloudflare's network, which hides the actual origin server, on an address geolocated to Canada. The Let's Encrypt certificate is free and automatic, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the site can be trusted.

What to do

Do not connect a wallet to webggg.com or type anything into it. Reach WEB3.AI only through channels you have verified yourself. If you connected a wallet and signed anything, check its active token approvals, revoke any you do not recognise, and move remaining funds to a fresh wallet. If you entered a recovery phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and empty it right away. If you used a password there, change it wherever you reused it and turn on two-factor authentication. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level, search logs for past visits, and report it to Cloudflare for abuse handling.
