PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

vbonk-redeem.top is an impersonation phishing page. Its name pairs what looks like a BONK-style token label with the word "redeem," while the page calls itself "Sol Gateway v2 -- Latest Web3 Wallets." The target is Solana users who expect a claim or redemption. PhishDestroy first saw the domain on 2026-10-07, and the site was still online with its content live on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

The page presents itself as an upgraded wallet gateway and asks visitors to connect a wallet to claim or redeem tokens. Pages of this kind usually lead to one of two endings. Some ask the victim to approve a transaction or sign a message that hands control of tokens to the operator. Others ask the victim to type in a recovery phrase to "sync" or "validate" the wallet. Either way, the wallet can be emptied, and on-chain transfers cannot be reversed.

Evidence

On 2026-10-11, 8 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That is a minority of engines, but the vendors come from separate detection pipelines. ScamSniffer, which focuses on Web3 threats, lists the domain alongside PhishDestroy. Spamhaus DBL lists it in its spam category. Four AlienVault OTX pulses reference it, which means other researchers are tracking it too.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-08-07 through NICENIC INTERNATIONAL GROUP CO., LIMITED, exactly two months before PhishDestroy flagged it. That fits a site set up ahead of time and launched when a lure was ready. It is hosted on the GCS-AS Global Connectivity Solutions LLP network, which is registered in Great Britain, with the server located in the Netherlands. Its free Let's Encrypt certificate gives it the browser padlock, so the padlock says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

Do not connect a wallet or sign anything on this site. If you connected and approved a transaction, use a Solana approval or delegation checker to revoke any permissions the site gained. Then move your remaining tokens to a fresh wallet. If you typed in a recovery phrase, treat that wallet as fully compromised: create a new wallet and move everything out right away. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and watch for related "redeem" domains using the same naming pattern.
