PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

trygoflex.com presents itself as GoFlex, a cross-border payments service, under the page title "GoFlex - International Payment Solutions for Freelancers & Solopreneurs". PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page. Its targets are independent workers who need to receive international client payments. We first flagged the domain on 2026-09-15, and it was still online and serving content when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Fake payment-platform sites copy the look and wording of a real provider so visitors trust them with the details a genuine account would need. These usually include login credentials, email access, bank account numbers, card data and sometimes identity documents for "verification". For a freelancer, the losses go beyond a stolen password. Hijacked accounts can be used to reroute incoming client payments, drain linked balances or open accounts in the victim's name. The "try" prefix on the domain imitates the kind of onboarding or trial address a legitimate service might use, which makes the link look plausible in an ad or email.

Evidence

On 2026-09-25, VirusTotal showed 6 of 91 engines flagging the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Chong Lua Dao, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, SOCRadar and desenmascara.me. That count is modest, so many browsers and security tools will still load the page without a warning. However, these six are independent vendors that reached the same verdict. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which means other researchers are tracking it. PhishDestroy is currently the only blocklist in our data listing it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through NAMECHEAP INC on 2025-03-22, roughly eighteen months before PhishDestroy detected it. The certificate comes from Google Trust Services (WE1), which is standard for Cloudflare-fronted sites and offers no assurance of legitimacy.

What to do
