PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

trazor-io-guide-info.netlify.app is a free Netlify subdomain on the PhishDestroy blocklist. Its name spells "trazor", a one-letter miss of the Trezor hardware wallet brand, and adds "io-guide-info", the kind of wording used to pass a page off as official setup help. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-03. The site has been offline since 2026-09-15, and when last checked on 2026-10-19 its root returned no content.

How the scam works

We have not tied this domain to a specific scheme. The risk comes from the combination of signals. A near-copy of a hardware wallet brand, a "guide" label and a throwaway hosting subdomain match the pattern of pages that pose as device setup or recovery instructions. Pages like that usually push visitors to type in their recovery phrase or install unofficial software. Anyone who hands over a seed phrase on such a page loses control of every asset that phrase secures.

Evidence

On 2026-09-14, VirusTotal showed 12 of 89 engines flagging the site. The vendors included alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, ESET, Emsisoft, Fortinet, G-Data, Lionic and Netcraft. That is a minority of engines, but it is a spread of independent vendors, including Netcraft, which focuses on phishing. The domain is also listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The site was built on Netlify's shared app platform, which lets anyone publish a subdomain in minutes without buying a domain. It was served from Amazon network space in Germany. The DigiCert certificate is the platform's standard one, so the padlock tells visitors nothing about who runs the page. The site was detected on 2026-09-03 and offline by 2026-09-15, a short lifespan typical of disposable hosting.

What to do

If you typed a Trezor recovery phrase or PIN into this site, treat that wallet as compromised. Move funds to a new wallet created with a fresh seed on a device you trust. Never enter a recovery phrase into any website, and only download Trezor software from the official source you already know. If you installed anything the page offered, remove it and scan the machine before using a wallet again. Defenders should block the hostname, look for other netlify.app subdomains with similar misspelled wallet names, and report new copies to the hosting platform.
