transhash.org presents itself as "TransHash – Transaction Accelerator & Cancellation", a service that claims it can speed up or cancel pending blockchain transactions. PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page aimed at crypto users whose transfers are stuck or who regret sending funds. We first detected it on 2026-10-04. At the last check on 2026-10-19 the site was still flagged as alive, but its DNS was inactive, so the page may not load right now and could return.
How the scam works
Fake accelerator and cancellation sites target people at a stressful moment, when a transaction sits unconfirmed or went to the wrong address. Victims are typically asked to pay an upfront fee in crypto, enter their seed phrase or private key to "authorize" the fix, or connect their wallet and sign a request presented as a cancellation. No outside website can recall a broadcast transaction. Any fee paid is lost, and a seed phrase or signed approval hands the operator control of the wallet's remaining funds.
Evidence
On 2026-10-15, VirusTotal showed 4 of 92 engines flagging the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and SOCRadar. That is a small share, but four vendors reaching the same verdict independently matters for a young domain. AlienVault OTX lists the domain in 4 threat pulses, so other researchers are tracking it too. Among blocklists, only PhishDestroy lists it, which means many browsers and filters may still let it load without a warning.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Namecheap on 2026-09-22, only 12 days before we detected it. That short gap fits a site set up quickly for a campaign. It is hosted on the Interserver, Inc network in the United States. Its Let's Encrypt certificate is free and issued automatically, so the browser padlock shows only that the connection is encrypted, not that the service is legitimate.
What to do
If you paid a "cancellation" or "acceleration" fee, treat that money as gone and do not pay any follow-up charges promised to finish the job. If you typed in a seed phrase or private key, create a new wallet on a clean device and move your remaining assets there immediately. If you connected a wallet and signed anything, review and revoke token approvals with a trusted approval-management tool. For a genuinely stuck transaction, rely only on the fee-bump or replace features built into your own wallet. Security teams should block transhash.org at DNS and proxy level, watch for lookups to it now that its DNS is inactive, and report it to Namecheap and Interserver.
