PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

theyachtatlas.com presents itself as "The Yacht Atlas," a private yacht charter operator for Komodo and Raja Ampat. PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page. It borrows the look of a legitimate travel business to win the trust of people booking high-value trips, and wallet-security blocklists also flag it. We first detected it on 2026-09-25, and it was still online with live content on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

The page title advertises luxury charters, while our classification places the site in impersonation phishing. Schemes like this copy a real business or a believable one, then steer visitors toward a booking, deposit or account step. That step is where payment details, credentials or a wallet connection are harvested. Charter bookings involve large upfront payments, so a convincing storefront can extract substantial sums before the victim realizes no yacht exists.

Evidence

Ten of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-09. The flagging vendors include alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft and Kaspersky. That is a minority of engines, but the spread across independent commercial vendors is meaningful. Beyond PhishDestroy, the domain sits on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, which are maintained by the wallet and crypto-security community. It also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-23 through Cloudflare, Inc., only two days before we detected it. That short gap is typical of sites built to run briefly and be replaced. It resolves to 76.76.21.21 on an Amazon.com, Inc. network in the US. Its Let's Encrypt certificate means the browser padlock confirms only an encrypted connection, not that the business is real.

What to do

Do not book, pay or sign in on theyachtatlas.com. If you sent a deposit, contact your bank or card issuer right away to dispute the charge and report the fraud. If you entered a password, change it everywhere you reuse it and turn on two-factor authentication. Because wallet blocklists flag this site, anyone who connected a wallet should review and revoke token approvals granted during that visit. Defenders should block the domain and its IP at DNS and proxy level, and check logs for users who visited it after 2026-09-23.
