PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

synterra-soft.com is an impersonation phishing page that presented itself as "tondratex-software", an "AI Trading Platform" claiming to be the "Official Website". The page title carries a brand name that does not match the domain itself. That mismatch is a red flag for anyone who reached it through an ad or a message. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-17. The site has been offline since 2026-10-14 and was still dead when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Fake AI trading sites promise automated profits from a trading bot. They ask visitors to register and fund an account, often in crypto. The dashboard then shows invented gains to encourage larger deposits. When victims try to cash out, withdrawals stall behind "taxes", "verification" or "unlock" fees, and every extra payment is lost. Personal details and ID documents handed over during sign-up can also be reused in later fraud or recovery scams.

Evidence

VirusTotal shows 16 of 91 engines flagging the domain as of 2026-09-29. The vendors include BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Emsisoft, alphaMountain.ai, CyRadar and the Vietnamese anti-scam project Chong Lua Dao. Agreement across that many independent vendors, both commercial and community-run, is strong backing for the classification. The domain also appears in five AlienVault OTX threat pulses, and PhishDestroy lists it on its blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2025-10-10 through MainReg Inc. That is nearly a year before PhishDestroy flagged it, so it was not a throwaway created the week of the campaign. It was hosted at 185.62.56.121 on the Snel.com B.V. network in the Netherlands. Its free ZeroSSL domain-validated certificate gave it a padlock. That padlock proves only that someone controlled the domain, not that the business is real.

What to do

If you deposited money here, stop sending funds and refuse any request for withdrawal fees or taxes. Collect your transaction IDs, account screenshots and chat logs, and report the losses to your exchange and to the police. If you uploaded ID documents, watch for identity misuse. Ignore anyone offering to recover your funds for a fee, because these offers are usually a second scam. Defenders should block the domain and its IP, and watch for lookalike "tondratex" or "synterra" domains that may replace it now that it is down.
