Overview

summitexchange.online presents itself as a "CopyTrading App" under an exchange-style name, a pitch aimed at people who want to earn from crypto trading without trading themselves. It is on the PhishDestroy blocklist, which first picked it up on 2026-07-27. It does not imitate a named brand. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.

How the scam works

The page title and the domain name point to an online trading or exchange platform that invites visitors to follow other traders' positions. Sites of this kind usually ask users to register and fund an account, then show a balance that appears to grow. The money is lost when deposits cannot be withdrawn, or when the site demands extra "fees" or "taxes" before releasing funds. We have not assigned this domain a specific scheme type. Anyone sending money or crypto to an unverified copy-trading platform like this one risks losing it.

Evidence

Detection is still thin. When VirusTotal checked the domain on 2026-09-14, 4 of 89 engines flagged it: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. Four AlienVault OTX threat-intelligence pulses also reference it, so researchers outside PhishDestroy have tracked it. Most engines still pass the site, so a clean result from a single scanner is not proof that it is safe.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-04-17 through Global Domain Group LLC, about three months before PhishDestroy first saw it. That gap suggests a site built to run for a while rather than a burner taken down within days. Traffic goes through Cloudflare's network on an address geolocated to Canada, which hides the real origin server from visitors.

What to do

Do not register, deposit or send crypto to summitexchange.online. If you have already funded an account, stop sending money, and treat any request for a "withdrawal fee", tax or verification payment as a sign that the balance shown is not real. Save your transaction IDs, chat logs and payment receipts, then report them to your bank or exchange and to local police. If you reused a password on this site, change it everywhere else you use it. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and watch for related exchange-themed domains.
