PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

stakeglobals.com presents itself as "the most popular online crypto casino based on blockchain," but PhishDestroy classifies it as a fraudulent gambling site. It targets crypto holders looking for an online casino and asks them to fund an account with digital assets. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-05, and as of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its casino pages.

How the scam works

The site runs on a kit we track as Gambler Scam, which produces polished fake casinos with games, bonuses and a balance display that the operators control. Victims deposit crypto and often see their balance grow quickly, sometimes boosted by a promotional code or a welcome bonus. When they try to cash out, the withdrawal stalls behind new demands such as a minimum deposit, a verification payment, a tax or an unlocking fee. Each payment is lost, and the displayed winnings were never withdrawable.

Evidence

Eight of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain on 2026-10-06: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky, SOCRadar and Sophos. That is a minority of engines, but it includes several major security vendors who reached the same conclusion independently within a day of our detection. urlscan.io rated the site malicious and tagged it with generic crypto and crypto-scam indicators. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses and on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-05-18 through Global Domain Group LLC, roughly 140 days before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests the site may have been running for months before it was flagged. Traffic passes through Cloudflare, with the visible IP geolocated to Canada, so the real origin server is hidden behind the proxy. The site uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the casino is legitimate.

What to do

Do not deposit anything further, and refuse any request for withdrawal fees, verification payments, taxes or a top-up to unlock your winnings, because paying will not release your funds. Save transaction hashes, deposit addresses, chat logs and screenshots of your account. Report the theft to your national cybercrime unit and to the exchange that sent your funds. Be wary of anyone who later offers to recover your money for a fee, since this is a common follow-up scam. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and web proxy level and add it to user-awareness material on fake crypto casinos.
