PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

sso-ledgrr-wallet.pages.dev is a phishing page impersonating Ledger, the hardware wallet maker. It targets people setting up or recovering a Ledger device. The misspelled "ledgrr" and the "sso" prefix are meant to pass a quick glance as an official sign-in or onboarding address. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-15. The site has been offline since 2026-10-06, its content was blocked by the hosting provider, and it was still down when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

The page carried the title "Ledger Wallet: Getting Started® | Official Site", which copies the onboarding flow a new Ledger owner expects to follow. Pages of this kind walk the visitor through a fake setup or "verification" step. That step asks for the 24-word recovery phrase, or asks the visitor to connect a wallet and approve requests. Anyone who types the recovery phrase into such a page hands over full control of every account derived from it. The attacker can then empty the wallet from anywhere, without ever touching the physical device.

Evidence

On 2026-09-29, 13 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. Among them were alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, Chong Lua Dao, CyRadar, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet and G-Data. urlscan.io rated the page malicious and recognised Ledger branding on it. The MetaMask and SEAL blocklists also list the domain alongside PhishDestroy, so wallet-side protections were warning users independently.

Infrastructure

The subdomain was created on Cloudflare Pages on 2026-08-29, 17 days before PhishDestroy flagged it. That is a typical short lead time for a throwaway phishing page. It was served through Cloudflare, Inc. from an address geolocated to Canada. Free static-hosting subdomains like this let operators stand up a convincing page in minutes and replace it just as quickly once it is blocked.

What to do

If you entered your Ledger recovery phrase on this site, treat the wallet as compromised. Initialise a new seed on your device and move any remaining assets to the new accounts immediately. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, review and revoke unfamiliar token approvals. Ledger never asks for your recovery phrase on a website, by email or in chat, so only download setup software from the vendor's own official channels. Defenders should block the sso-ledgrr-wallet.pages.dev subdomain and watch for look-alike Pages subdomains that combine misspelled Ledger names with "sso" or "wallet" keywords.
