PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

soslink.esefoke.xyz is an impersonation phishing page presenting itself as "SOSLink — Emergency Alert Service." It targets people who expect to sign in to, register with or respond to an emergency alerting service. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-16. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its phishing content.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages copy the name and look of a service the victim already trusts. An emergency-alert theme adds urgency, because a warning about a safety issue pushes people to act before they think. The victim is led to a login or sign-up form. Whatever they type goes to the operators: account passwords, contact details, and sometimes payment or identity information presented as a "verification" step. Stolen credentials are then reused against the real service and any other account that shares the same password.

Evidence

On 2026-09-30, four of 91 VirusTotal engines classed the site as malicious: CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet and SOCRadar. That is a low count, so most security tools would not stop a visit yet. The four vendors reached their verdicts independently of each other, though. Spamhaus also lists the domain in its DBL under the spam category, which is a separate signal from a reputation source outside the antivirus ecosystem. PhishDestroy carries it on its blocklist.

Infrastructure

The parent domain esefoke.xyz was registered on 2026-04-27 through TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown, almost five months before PhishDestroy detected the page. A random-looking .xyz name with a brand-like subdomain in front lets operators rotate fake pages without registering new domains. The site is hosted at 163.61.188.9 on the NEW DHAKA HARDWARE network in the United States. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gives it a browser padlock, which proves nothing about who runs the site.

What to do

If you entered a password here, change it immediately on the genuine service and on every account where you reused it, then turn on two-factor authentication. If you supplied card details, contact your bank to block the card and dispute any charges. Watch for follow-up phishing that uses the contact details you submitted. Defenders should block soslink.esefoke.xyz and the wider esefoke.xyz domain at DNS and proxy level, and search mail and web logs for users who reached it.
