PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

snapplus.info is an impersonation phishing page built around Snapchat's paid subscription, Snapchat Plus. Its title, "Snapchat Plus Gratuit", is French for "free Snapchat Plus" and is aimed at French-speaking Snapchat users hoping to unlock premium features without paying. PhishDestroy first detected the domain on 2026-10-15. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.

How the scam works

Fake "free premium" pages promise a paid feature at no cost and then ask the visitor to prove eligibility, usually by signing in with their Snapchat username and password. Some also request a one-time code, a phone number or the completion of surveys and app installs. Anything typed into the form goes to the operators, not to Snapchat. A captured login lets them take over the account, lock out the owner, message the victim's contacts with the same lure, and misuse private snaps or personal details.

Evidence

On 2026-10-19, VirusTotal showed 7 of 92 engines flagging the domain. The flagging vendors were alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That is a modest but independent group of detections, so many security tools still let the page load. PhishDestroy lists the domain on its blocklist.
