PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

This Cloudflare Pages site is an impersonation phishing page. Its hostname is built to read like a CoinVault customer support desk, and it targets crypto holders who go looking for help with an account or wallet. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-07. The site has been offline since 2026-09-16, and on 2026-10-19 its content was still blocked by the hosting provider.

How the scam works

Fake support pages wait for users who already have a problem, such as a stuck transaction, a locked account or a missing balance. The page then offers a fix that requires the victim's recovery phrase, private key or login details, or asks them to connect a wallet and approve a transaction to "verify" or "sync" it. Whatever is handed over gives the operator direct control of the funds or the account. The page title is an unfilled design-template placeholder, "", rather than a brand name, while the hostname and our classification point to support-desk impersonation.

Evidence

When VirusTotal scanned the site on 2026-09-17, only 3 of 89 engines flagged it: alphaMountain.ai, Gridinsoft and LevelBlue. That count is low, so most security products would not have warned a visitor while the page was live. Two crypto-focused blocklists, PhishDestroy and ScamSniffer, also list the site. Their entries support the impersonation classification more strongly than the general antivirus coverage does.

Infrastructure

The project was created on Cloudflare Pages on 2026-08-29, nine days before PhishDestroy detected it. It resolves to Cloudflare, Inc. network space geolocated to Canada. Using a free pages.dev subdomain let the operator stand up a lookalike support site with no domain purchase. The same setup also made it quick for the provider to block, and the site went offline about a week after detection.

What to do

If you typed a recovery phrase or private key into this page, treat that wallet as compromised and move any remaining assets to a newly created wallet right away. If you connected a wallet or signed a transaction there, use a token approval checker to review and revoke unfamiliar approvals. If you entered exchange or email credentials, change those passwords and reset 2FA. Genuine support teams never ask for seed phrases. Defenders should block the hostname and watch for other pages.dev subdomains that combine "coinvault" with "support".
