Overview

robinhood.ref-info-acc.com is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as the Robinhood Wallet sign-in screen. It targets Robinhood customers, especially holders of the self-custody Robinhood Wallet. The brand name sits in front of a generic parent domain, ref-info-acc.com, so a quick glance at the address bar shows "robinhood" first. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-11, and as of 2026-10-19 its DNS no longer resolves, so the page is currently offline.

How the scam works

The page carries the title "Robinhood Wallet - Log In" and copies the look of the real login so visitors trust it. Victims usually arrive through links in messages, ads or fake support chats. Anything typed into the form goes straight to the operators. That can include account credentials, one-time codes or, for a self-custody wallet, a recovery phrase. A recovery phrase gives full and irreversible control of the wallet, so funds can be swept within minutes. Stolen logins and 2FA codes let attackers take over the account.

Evidence

When VirusTotal scanned the domain on 2026-09-16, 14 of 89 engines flagged it. They included ChainPatrol, alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, Chong Lua Dao, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data and Google Safe Browsing. Google Safe Browsing lists it under SOCIAL_ENGINEERING, which means mainstream browsers warn visitors away. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and identified Robinhood as the brand being imitated. Crypto-focused blocklists also carry the domain, including MetaMask and SEAL alongside PhishDestroy.

Infrastructure

The parent domain was registered on 2026-01-31 through NICENIC INTERNATIONAL GROUP CO., LIMITED, roughly seven months before PhishDestroy caught the Robinhood page. That gap suggests the domain was set up in advance and used for a campaign later. The site was hosted on the Omegatech LTD network in the Netherlands. It used a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock icon said nothing about whether the site was legitimate.

What to do

If you entered a Robinhood Wallet recovery phrase here, treat that wallet as compromised. Create a new wallet on a clean device and move any remaining assets to it immediately. If you connected the wallet or signed anything, revoke token approvals from a trusted device. If you submitted a Robinhood password or 2FA code, change the password and reset 2FA from the official app. Then review recent account activity and contact Robinhood support. Defenders should block ref-info-acc.com and all of its subdomains, and watch for brand-prefixed subdomains on similar generic parent domains.
