proofmine.lol was a phishing page that posed as a legitimate crypto-related service to win the trust of people managing digital assets. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-24. The site went dark on 2026-09-10, and when we checked again on 2026-10-19 its DNS no longer resolved. In practice, the domain was usable for roughly two and a half weeks after we caught it.
How the scam works
Impersonation pages copy the look, wording and flow of a service the victim already trusts. Visitors then sign in, connect a wallet or type in recovery details, believing they are on the real site. The browser tab on proofmine.lol showed only the bare domain name, so the title gave no clue which brand it was copying. Anything submitted on a page like this goes straight to the operator. That can mean account passwords, one-time codes or a wallet seed phrase, and a seed phrase gives the attacker full control of the funds it protects.
Evidence
Four of 90 VirusTotal engines marked the domain as malicious when it was scanned on 2026-09-05. Those engines were alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and SOCRadar. That is a low hit rate, which is common for short-lived phishing domains, but the four come from separate threat-intelligence sources. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX pulses, so other researchers were tracking it independently. Among the blocklists we track, only PhishDestroy lists it.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Spaceship, Inc. under the low-cost .lol extension. Cheap, throwaway domains like this are often used for impersonation campaigns that are expected to be burned quickly. It went offline less than three weeks after our first detection, which fits that disposable pattern.
What to do
If you entered a password or 2FA code on proofmine.lol, change that password right away on the genuine service and on any other account that shares it. Then reset your two-factor authentication and review recent logins for activity you don't recognize. If you typed a wallet seed phrase or private key, treat that wallet as compromised. Create a new wallet on a clean device and move any remaining assets to it immediately. Security teams should block the domain and search proxy and DNS logs from 2026-08-24 onward for users who reached it, then contact those users directly.
