PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

pohawin.com is an impersonation phishing domain that poses as a legitimate service to win the trust of crypto users and harvest their logins, personal details or funds. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-27, only two days after the domain was registered. As of 2026-10-19 the site is still live and answers visitors with a redirect, so the threat remains active.

How the scam works

Impersonation sites copy the look, name and wording of a trusted brand so that victims believe they are on the real platform. Visitors arrive through ads, search results, social media or direct messages, then are asked to sign in, submit identity details, or send or deposit funds. Anything entered goes straight to the operators. The page itself returns the title "301 Moved Permanently", a plain redirect response rather than branded content, while our classification is impersonation phishing. That redirect behaviour lets the operator point traffic wherever the active lure is hosted.

Evidence

Independent detection is thin but real. On 2026-10-10, 4 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. It also appears in 3 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which means other researchers have tied it to malicious activity. Among blocklists it is currently carried by PhishDestroy. The low vendor count reflects how new the domain is, not that it is safe.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-25 through TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown and went into use almost at once. That timing fits a disposable phishing domain meant to work before blocklists catch up. Traffic is served through Cloudflare, Inc. from an address located in Canada. Because Cloudflare acts as a proxy, the server that actually hosts the content stays hidden behind it.

What to do

If you visited pohawin.com and entered a password, change it right away on the genuine service and on any other site where you reused it. Then turn on app-based two-factor authentication. If you submitted ID documents or payment details, contact your bank or card issuer and watch for follow-up scams that use the stolen information. Do not send more money to anyone who promises to unlock or recover funds. Report any loss to the brand being impersonated and to local authorities. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level, look in logs for users who reached it, and report it to Cloudflare and the registrar for takedown.
