omgomg-info.xyz is an impersonation phishing site. It is built to pass itself off as a service its visitors already trust and to capture what they enter. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-25. When last checked on 2026-10-19, its content was unreachable and its live status could not be confirmed. A domain in this state can return without warning, so it should still be treated as hostile.
How the scam works
Impersonation pages copy the name, look and wording of a legitimate site so a visitor believes they are in the right place. They then ask for account credentials or payment, or push the victim toward an action that hands over control or money. The "-info" suffix in this domain is typical of lookalike sites that present themselves as an official information or access page. The page title currently shows a Cloudflare "522: Connection timed out" error rather than branded content, while our classification is impersonation phishing.
Evidence
On VirusTotal, 9 of 91 engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-27. The named vendors include alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Kaspersky, Lionic and Sophos. That is a minority of engines, but several major commercial vendors detected it independently within days of our own listing. The domain also appears in 3 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows other researchers have tracked it. PhishDestroy lists it on its blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-06-20 through Spaceship, Inc., roughly three months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests it was set up in advance and put into use later. It resolves to 172.67.183.224 on Cloudflare's network, geolocated to Canada. That means the address belongs to Cloudflare's proxy rather than the operator's real server. The 522 timeout in the page title points to that hidden backend being offline or unresponsive.
What to do
If you entered a password on this site, change it immediately on the real service and on any other account that uses the same password. Then turn on app-based two-factor authentication. If you entered card or banking details, contact your bank to block the card and dispute any charges. Watch for follow-up emails or messages that reference your visit, since phishers often reuse captured contact details.
