PhishDestroy threat report
need-ledgr-live.pages.dev is an impersonation phishing page. Its name is a deliberate misspelling of Ledger Live, the companion app for Ledger hardware wallets, which suggests it targets Ledger owners who search for the app or follow a link from a fake support message. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-08. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.
Ledger Live impersonation pages usually tell visitors that their device needs an urgent update, sync or security check. They then ask for the 24-word recovery phrase or push a fake download of the app. The "need" in this hostname matches that kind of urgency hook. Anyone who types a recovery phrase into such a page gives the operator full control of the wallet, and funds can be moved out within minutes. The hardware device does nothing to stop this once the seed is exposed.
Four of 89 VirusTotal engines flag the domain as of 2026-09-21: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet and LevelBlue. That count is low, so many browsers and security tools may still let the page load without a warning. The stronger signals come from crypto-focused sources. The domain is listed by MetaMask, SEAL and PhishFeed as well as PhishDestroy, and Spamhaus DBL classifies it as phishing.
The page sits on a free Cloudflare Pages subdomain created on 2026-08-20, 19 days before PhishDestroy detected it. It resolves to Cloudflare, Inc. network space geolocated to Canada. Using a free, disposable subdomain on a trusted platform lets the operator stand up a page quickly and get a valid TLS certificate automatically, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about legitimacy. The page has stayed up for weeks after detection, which keeps the risk active.
If you entered your recovery phrase on this site, treat that wallet as compromised. Set up a device with a new seed and move any remaining funds to it immediately, because no password change undoes a leaked phrase. If you installed software from the page, remove it and scan the computer before you use any wallet on it again. If you connected a software wallet, review and revoke token approvals. Ledger never asks for your recovery phrase, so get the app only from Ledger's official site. Defenders should block the hostname, report it to Cloudflare's abuse channel, and watch for similar typosquats of Ledger Live on free hosting platforms.
