PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

multidexissuesresolve.pages.dev is an impersonation phishing page dressed up as a wallet troubleshooting service. It calls itself "DebugDappNode" and promises "Mobile Wallet Restore" under an "open protocol for connecting wallets" banner. It targets crypto holders who believe their wallet or DEX connection has a problem. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-05. The site has been offline since 2026-09-16 after the hosting provider blocked its content, and it was still dead at the last check on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Fake "debug" and "restore" portals like this lure users with a technical-sounding fix for failed swaps, stuck transactions or sync errors. The domain name itself, "multidex issues resolve," is built to look like an official help channel. The victim is walked to a "restore" or "validate" step that asks for the wallet's recovery phrase or private key. Whoever submits it hands over full control of the wallet, and the funds can be swept to the attacker at any time without further approval.

Evidence

When VirusTotal checked the site on 2026-09-17, 9 of 89 engines flagged it. The vendors include ESET, Kaspersky, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, alphaMountain.ai and LevelBlue. That is a modest share, but it is a meaningful one for a short-lived free-hosting page, and it comes from several major vendors. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict, and PhishDestroy lists the domain on its blocklist.

Infrastructure

The page was created on 2026-09-04 as a Cloudflare Pages subdomain and was caught the next day. It was taken down about eleven days later. Free static hosting lets operators spin up throwaway lures like this in minutes, behind Cloudflare's network and a valid Google Trust Services certificate. The padlock in the browser therefore said nothing about legitimacy. The IP sits on Cloudflare, Inc. infrastructure geolocated to Canada.

What to do

If you typed a recovery phrase or private key into this page, treat that wallet as compromised. Create a new wallet with a fresh phrase on a trusted device and move any remaining assets immediately. If you also connected a wallet, revoke the token approvals granted to unfamiliar addresses. No genuine wallet or protocol support ever needs your seed phrase. Defenders should block lookalike pages.dev subdomains that use "dapp," "debug," "restore" or "resolve" lures, and report new variants to the hosting provider.
