PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

m9rpho.org is an impersonation phishing page that presented itself under the title "Service Status" and, according to urlscan.io's brand detection, mimicked a generic Cloudflare-style interstitial. Its presence on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists points to crypto wallet users as the intended audience. PhishDestroy first saw the domain on 2026-08-21. It has been offline since 2026-09-16, with its content blocked by the provider, and it was still dead at the last check on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Fake "service status" or security-check pages borrow the look of infrastructure that people see every day and rarely question. The visitor is told a check or verification is needed, then nudged toward the real objective, typically connecting a wallet, entering credentials, or following instructions that hand control to the operator. Because the screen resembles a routine Cloudflare step, victims tend to comply without scrutiny. The title "Service Status" describes a generic status screen, while our classification is impersonation phishing.

Evidence

VirusTotal shows 9 of 89 engines flagging the domain as of 2026-09-14, including ChainPatrol, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, CyRadar, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. The count is modest, but ChainPatrol's flag matters because that vendor specialises in crypto threats. urlscan.io rated the page malicious. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as phishing, and MetaMask and SEAL both blocklist it alongside PhishDestroy. Three AlienVault OTX pulses also reference it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Gname.com Pte. Ltd. and sat behind Cloudflare's network, with the address geolocated to Canada. Fronting through Cloudflare hides the true origin server, and it also gave the page's Cloudflare-themed disguise some extra plausibility. The site went offline within days of the VirusTotal check, shortly after it was blocked at the provider level.

What to do

If you connected a wallet to this page, check for any token approvals or signatures you granted and revoke them, then move funds to a fresh wallet if you entered a seed phrase. If you typed a password, change it on the real service and on any account that shares it, and enable app-based 2FA. Never treat a "status" or verification screen as a reason to connect a wallet or reveal a recovery phrase. Defenders should block m9rpho.org at DNS and proxy layers and search logs for visits since 2026-08-21.
