PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ledgrslive-walet.pages.dev is a phishing page that impersonates Ledger. It poses as Ledger Live, the companion app for Ledger hardware wallets. Its misspelled name, "ledgrs" plus "walet," is built to pass a quick glance from someone searching for the real software. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-09-08. The site has been offline since 2026-09-16, and the hosting provider has blocked its content, which was still the case at the last check on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

The page called itself "Ledger Live (Official) — Secure Bitcoin & Crypto Wallet," claiming official status to win the trust of people who want to download or update the app. Fake Ledger Live pages usually push a counterfeit installer, or they show a "sync," "restore" or "verify" screen that asks for the 24-word recovery phrase. Ledger never asks for that phrase. Anyone who types it in hands over full control of every account derived from it, and the thieves can empty those accounts without ever touching the physical device.

Evidence

When VirusTotal scanned the site on 2026-09-18, only 3 of 89 engines flagged it: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and Kaspersky. That low count is common for short-lived pages on shared platforms, so most security products would not have warned visitors. Wallet-focused blocklists did catch it. Besides PhishDestroy, both MetaMask and SEAL list the domain.

Infrastructure

The site was a subdomain on Cloudflare Pages, a free static hosting service, which lets anyone launch a convincing site quickly and replace it just as fast. It was created on 2026-07-31, about five weeks before PhishDestroy detected it, and it stopped resolving to live content eight days after detection. The page was served from Cloudflare's network, with an address that geolocates to Canada. Its TLS certificate came from Google Trust Services, so visitors saw a normal padlock that said nothing about whether the site was legitimate.

What to do

If you entered your recovery phrase on this site, treat that wallet as compromised. Reset your Ledger, generate a new phrase, and move any remaining funds to the new accounts immediately. If you downloaded and ran software from it, uninstall it, scan the computer, and get Ledger Live only from Ledger's official site. If you connected a software wallet, check for and revoke any token approvals you don't recognize. Defenders should block the domain and watch for lookalike Cloudflare Pages subdomains that combine "ledger" or "ledgr" with misspelled wallet terms.
