PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ledgr-live-wallet-en.pages.dev is an impersonation phishing page. Its name misspells Ledger Live, the companion app for Ledger hardware wallets, which makes owners of those devices its obvious targets. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-08. It went offline on 2026-09-16 after the hosting provider blocked the content, and it was still dead when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Fake Ledger Live pages usually claim the user must update, sync or verify the wallet. They then ask for the 24-word recovery phrase, or offer a fake app download that requests it. A Ledger device never needs its recovery phrase typed into a website. Anyone who enters it hands over the whole wallet, and the attacker can drain every account on every chain from their own device. The page title now reads "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", which is the provider's warning interstitial, not the original lure. We classified the site by its impersonation of Ledger Live.

Evidence

13 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-18. They include ESET, BitDefender, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, alphaMountain.ai, CyRadar and Gridinsoft. That is moderate coverage, but the detections come from several major vendors working independently. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict. Its brand match, "genericcloudflare", reflects the warning page rather than the Ledger lure. Beyond PhishDestroy, the domain appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, both of which track wallet-targeting fraud specifically.

Infrastructure

The site ran as a free subdomain on Cloudflare Pages, served from Cloudflare's network with a Canadian geolocation. This kind of throwaway hosting lets an operator publish a convincing clone in minutes and abandon it once it is reported. The certificate came from WE1, an automatically issued certificate, so the browser padlock said nothing about who ran the page. The provider took the content down about eight days after our first sighting.

What to do

If you typed your recovery phrase into this site, treat the wallet as fully compromised. Set up a new Ledger with a fresh phrase, or reset your current device and generate a new one. Then move any remaining funds to the new accounts immediately, before the attacker does. If you downloaded software from the page, uninstall it and scan the computer. Only get Ledger Live from Ledger's official site, and never enter your recovery phrase anywhere except on the device itself. Defenders should block the domain, watch for other typo variants of Ledger brands on free hosting subdomains, and report new clones to the hosting provider.
