PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ledgr-livdesktp.pages.dev is an impersonation phishing page whose name is a deliberately misspelled "Ledger Live desktop", aimed at owners of Ledger hardware wallets. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-07. The site has been offline since 2026-09-16, and Cloudflare was still blocking its content when we last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Lookalike Ledger Live pages typically offer a fake desktop app download or warn of a wallet sync or security problem. The victim is then asked to type in the 24-word recovery phrase, and anyone holding that phrase can empty every account tied to the device. The page now shows the title "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", which is the provider's own warning screen rather than Ledger-branded content, while our classification covers the impersonation page it served before it was blocked.

Evidence

When checked on 2026-09-17, 15 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, alphaMountain.ai, CyRadar and Criminal IP. Detection from that many independent vendors makes a false positive unlikely. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict. The domain also appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists in addition to PhishDestroy's.

Infrastructure

The site was set up as a free Cloudflare Pages project on 2026-07-29, about six weeks before we detected it. Pages subdomains like this one cost nothing and are quick to create, so scammers can replace them as soon as one is blocked. Traffic was served through Cloudflare, Inc. from an address located in Canada. Cloudflare's own block is the reason the site went dark.

What to do

If you typed your Ledger recovery phrase into this site, treat the wallet as compromised. Reset the device, generate a new phrase on the device itself, and move your funds there right away from a safe computer. Uninstall anything you downloaded from the page, and get Ledger Live only from Ledger's official site. Remember that Ledger never asks for your recovery phrase. Defenders should block similar "ledgr" and "livdesktp" lookalikes on pages.dev and report new variants to Cloudflare and to wallet blocklist maintainers.
