ledgger-live-download.pages.dev is an impersonation phishing page dressed up as a download portal for Ledger Live, the companion app for Ledger hardware wallets. The doubled "g" in the name is a typosquat built to catch people searching for the official installer. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-08. As of 2026-10-19 the site is still online and serving its content, so it remains an active danger.
How the scam works
Fake Ledger Live download sites target people who are setting up a device or reinstalling the app. These pages usually work in one of two ways. Some deliver a counterfeit app that asks for the 24-word recovery phrase to "restore" or "verify" the wallet. Others ask for the phrase directly in a web form. Ledger Live never asks for that phrase, and anyone who types it in hands over complete control of every account it secures. Funds can then be swept to the attacker without the hardware device ever being touched.
Evidence
On 2026-09-21, VirusTotal showed 4 of 89 engines flagging the site: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet and LevelBlue. That is a low count, so many browsers and security tools will not warn visitors. Wallet-focused defenses are stronger here. MetaMask, SEAL and PhishFeed all list the site alongside PhishDestroy, and Spamhaus DBL classifies it as phishing.
Infrastructure
The site is a project on Cloudflare Pages, a free static hosting service, so the operator never had to register a domain of their own. The project dates to 2026-08-04, roughly five weeks before PhishDestroy detected it. That gave it time to collect search traffic before blocklists caught up. It is served from Cloudflare, Inc. infrastructure geolocated to Canada.
What to do
If you downloaded and installed anything from this site, uninstall it and get Ledger Live only from Ledger's official website. If you entered your recovery phrase anywhere on the site or in its app, assume the wallet is compromised. Set up a new seed on a reset device and move any remaining funds there immediately, before the attacker does. Defenders should block the hostname, report it to Cloudflare's abuse team, and warn users that no legitimate Ledger software ever requests a recovery phrase.
