This free Cloudflare Pages subdomain poses as the Ledger Live desktop application, with doubled letters in "ledgerr" and "desktopp" to pass a quick glance. It targets Ledger hardware wallet owners looking for the companion app. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-31, and it was still online and serving content when last checked on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Fake Ledger Live sites generally follow one of two routes. One is a prompt to "verify", "restore" or "sync" the wallet by typing the 24-word recovery phrase. The other is a download button that delivers a tampered desktop app built to capture that phrase. Whoever holds the recovery phrase controls every account derived from it, so the attacker can empty the wallet without touching the physical device. Ledger never asks for the recovery phrase on a website or in an app.
Evidence
Coverage from automated scanners is thin. Only 4 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the site as of 2026-10-15: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet and LevelBlue. Most security tools therefore will not warn a visitor. Crypto-focused blocklists have caught it, and MetaMask, SEAL and PhishFeed list it alongside PhishDestroy. Wallet users with those protections get a warning, but ordinary browsers may load the page without complaint.
Infrastructure
The subdomain dates to 2025-09-25, roughly eleven months before PhishDestroy detected it. The operator chose Cloudflare Pages, which offers free hosting under a trusted shared domain and makes a typo-squatted name look more legitimate. The site resolves to Cloudflare, Inc. network space geolocated to Canada. It uses a standard Google Trust Services certificate, so the padlock icon says nothing about whether the site is genuine.
What to do
If you entered your recovery phrase here, treat the wallet as compromised. Set up a new Ledger seed on your device and move any remaining funds to it immediately. Never reuse the exposed phrase. If you downloaded and ran software from this page, uninstall it and scan the computer. Then get Ledger Live only by typing Ledger's official address yourself. Defenders should block the hostname and report it to Cloudflare's abuse team, since the page is still live.
