PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ledger-login-guide-en.pages.dev is a credential phishing page that impersonated Ledger. It was dressed up as a "Ledger Live Access Guide" aimed at hardware wallet owners looking for help signing in or managing their crypto. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-08-31. The site has been offline since 2026-09-12 after the hosting provider blocked its content, and it was still down when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

The page title, "Ledger Live Access Guide: Securely Manage Your Crypto with Your Hardware Wallet", is written to rank for searches by people unsure how to reach their Ledger account. Ledger Live has no web login. A "guide" that walks visitors to a sign-in form is a lure. Pages of this kind collect account credentials and often push victims to type in their 24-word recovery phrase. With that phrase, an attacker can rebuild the wallet on their own device and empty it, and the physical Ledger offers no protection.

Evidence

On 2026-09-13, VirusTotal showed 11 of 89 engines flagging the domain. They included alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CyRadar, ESET, Fortinet, G-Data, LevelBlue and Lionic. That is a modest share, but these are independent vendors reaching the same verdict. urlscan.io rated the page malicious. The domain is also on the PhishDestroy, MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, so wallet users running those protections were warned before it went offline.

Infrastructure

The site was set up on Cloudflare Pages on 2025-10-29, about ten months before PhishDestroy detected it. Free pages.dev hosting lets an operator launch a convincing site without buying a domain. It also gives the page a familiar-looking address. Traffic was served through Cloudflare's network from an address located in Canada. The site used a standard certificate from Google Trust Services, so the padlock icon said nothing about whether it was legitimate.

What to do

If you entered your Ledger recovery phrase on this page, treat the wallet as compromised. Set up a new seed on your device and move any remaining funds to it right away. If you entered an email and password, change that password everywhere you reused it. Turn on two-factor authentication, and watch for follow-up phishing that claims to come from Ledger. Defenders should block the domain and add pages.dev lookalikes using Ledger branding to their watchlists. They can also remind users that no legitimate Ledger page will ever ask for a recovery phrase.
