PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ledger-livee-web.pages.dev is a phishing page impersonating Ledger, using a misspelled "livee" to pass as a web version of Ledger Live. It targets owners of Ledger hardware wallets. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-08-31. The site has been offline since 2026-09-11, when the hosting provider blocked its content, and it was still down at the last check on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Fake Ledger Live pages usually claim the wallet needs to be synced, updated or verified, then ask for the 24-word recovery phrase. Ledger never asks for that phrase online. Anyone who types it in gives the attacker full control of the wallet, and the funds can be moved to another address without the physical device. The current page title, "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", is Cloudflare's own warning screen that replaced the site after the block, not the original Ledger lure.

Evidence

On 2026-09-11, 15 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the site, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, alphaMountain.ai and CyRadar. That spread of independent vendors agreeing is a strong signal for a short-lived subdomain. urlscan.io rated the page malicious, and the domain appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists as well as PhishDestroy's. Wallet users with MetaMask or SEAL-based protection would have been warned before the page loaded.

Infrastructure

The page ran on a free Cloudflare Pages subdomain, so there was no domain to register. A throwaway site like this can be published in minutes and abandoned once flagged. It was served through Cloudflare, Inc. from an address located in Canada. It stayed reachable for about eleven days after PhishDestroy first detected it, before the provider took it down on 2026-09-11.

What to do

If you only opened the page and entered nothing, no action is needed on your wallet. If you typed your Ledger recovery phrase into it, treat that wallet as compromised. Set up a new wallet on your device with a fresh recovery phrase, and move any remaining funds there immediately, since the attacker can act at any time. Never enter your recovery phrase on any website, and install Ledger Live only from Ledger's official channels. Security teams should block lookalike Ledger Live subdomains on hosting platforms like Pages and report new ones to the provider and to PhishDestroy.
