PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ldg-c8djn.sia04.workers.dev is a phishing page that impersonates Ledger and targets owners of Ledger hardware wallets. It ran on a free Cloudflare Workers subdomain, and the "ldg" prefix is a thin abbreviation of the brand name. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-10. It went offline on 2026-09-11, and as of 2026-10-19 the address is dead, with its content blocked by the hosting provider.

How the scam works

Fake Ledger pages usually claim the device or the Ledger Live app needs an urgent update, verification or recovery. They then ask the visitor to type in their 24-word recovery phrase. Anyone holding that phrase can rebuild the wallet on their own device and empty every account in it, with no hardware confirmation needed. The page title now reads "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", which is the provider's warning screen rather than Ledger branding, while we classify the original content as Ledger impersonation.

Evidence

urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and detected Ledger branding on the page, which matches our classification. VirusTotal tells a different story: none of its 89 engines flagged the address when it was checked on 2026-09-10. That clean result reflects how new the page was, not that it was safe. PhishDestroy is the only blocklist listing it, so browser and antivirus warnings would likely have missed it during its short life.

Infrastructure

The page sat under Cloudflare's workers.dev domain, registered through Cloudflare, Inc. It resolved to 188.114.97.3 on the CLOUDFLARENET network in the US. Free serverless subdomains like this cost nothing and take minutes to deploy, which suits short-lived phishing. This one lasted about a day between our first detection and going offline.

What to do

If you typed your Ledger recovery phrase into this page, treat the wallet as compromised. Reset your device, generate a new phrase and move any remaining funds to it right away, before the attacker does. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, review and revoke token approvals with a reputable approval checker. Ledger never asks for your recovery phrase online, so any page that does is a scam. Defenders should block this hostname and watch Workers subdomains that pair brand fragments such as "ldg" with random strings.
