laserswap.finance presents itself as a DeFi exchange called LaserSwap, designed to lure cryptocurrency holders into connecting their wallets under the pretense of swapping tokens. PhishDestroy first identified it on 2026-08-05 and classifies it as a crypto wallet drainer. As of 2026-10-19 the site remains alive but its content is currently unreachable, meaning the drainer infrastructure may still be active even if the front-end is temporarily inaccessible.
How the scam works
Wallet drainers disguised as swap platforms prompt visitors to connect a crypto wallet to perform a trade or claim a reward. Once connected, the site requests a transaction signature or approval that grants the attacker permission to transfer tokens out of the victim's wallet. The victim loses real assets — tokens and NFTs — often in a single silent transaction before they realize anything is wrong. The page title LaserSwap gives the site a veneer of a legitimate decentralized exchange to lower suspicion at the moment of connection.
Evidence
VirusTotal returned 4 detections across 89 scanning engines as of 2026-09-19, with Chong Lua Dao, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, and SOCRadar all flagging the domain as malicious.
