PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

highpoint-02.pages.dev is a phishing page that impersonates Cloudflare and runs on a free subdomain of Cloudflare's own Pages platform. It targets people who expect to deal with Cloudflare, such as website owners, developers and anyone shown a Cloudflare-style check. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-12. The site has been offline since 2026-09-20, the provider has blocked its content, and it was still down when checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Cloudflare impersonation pages copy the look of Cloudflare's login screens, dashboard alerts or "verify you are human" checks so that a visitor trusts the page at a glance. The goal is to collect Cloudflare account credentials or push the visitor through extra steps the real service never asks for. A hijacked Cloudflare account is valuable because it controls DNS and traffic for every site on it, including crypto projects. The page title now reads "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", which is Cloudflare's own warning screen, while we classify the original content as Cloudflare impersonation.

Evidence

On 2026-09-19, 12 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including alphaMountain.ai, Emsisoft, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue and Lionic. That is a modest share of engines, but the vendors are independent of each other and agree on the verdict. urlscan.io rated the page malicious and recognised Cloudflare branding on it. The domain is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The subdomain was created on 2026-09-02, ten days before PhishDestroy flagged it. It went offline within about a week of detection. It was set up through Cloudflare Pages and served from Cloudflare, Inc.'s network, with the hosting located in Canada (CA). Using the impersonated company's own free hosting gives the address a plausible-looking suffix, which is why the full name, not just the ending, needs checking.

What to do

If you entered a Cloudflare email and password on this page, change the password from the real Cloudflare dashboard, enable or reset two-factor authentication, and revoke any API tokens you do not recognise. Then check your audit log, DNS records, Workers and page rules for changes you did not make. If you reused that password elsewhere, change it there as well. Defenders should block the domain, search proxy and email logs for visits since 2026-09-02, and remind staff that Cloudflare logins only happen on Cloudflare's official domain.
