PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

hhr-rms.com is a domain on the PhishDestroy blocklist whose page presented itself as a "Retailing Management System", a generic business back-office title with no named company or crypto brand behind it. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-06. It has not yet been assigned a specific scheme type. As of 2026-10-19 the domain no longer resolves in DNS, so the site is effectively offline for now.

How the scam works

A page titled like an internal management portal usually exists to get someone to sign in. On a freshly registered, unbranded domain, that pattern carries a clear risk: usernames, passwords or other account details typed into the form can be captured by whoever runs the site. The evidence does not show which organisation or service, if any, was being imitated, or whether crypto wallets were involved. The safe assumption is that anything entered on the page should be treated as exposed.

Two of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain on 2026-10-06, alphaMountain.ai and PhishFort, and PhishFort focuses on phishing aimed at crypto and Web3 users. The domain also appears in two AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tied it to suspicious activity. Beyond PhishDestroy, no other blocklist lists it, and the low detection count reflects how quickly it was caught rather than a clean bill of health.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Name.com, Inc. on 2026-09-14, just 22 days before PhishDestroy flagged it. That short gap matches a domain set up for short-term use rather than a long-running business. Traffic passed through Cloudflare's network, which hides the real origin server, with the address geolocated to the United Arab Emirates. Its free automated TLS certificate means the padlock icon said nothing about who operated the site.

What to do

If you entered a username and password on this page, change that password immediately, along with the password on any other account that uses the same one. Turn on two-factor authentication and review recent sign-ins and account activity for anything you do not recognise. If the credentials belonged to a work system, report the incident to your IT or security team so they can reset sessions and watch for misuse.
