Overview

go88bet.me is an impersonation phishing page that borrows the name and look of Go88, a gaming and betting brand popular with Vietnamese-speaking players. Its page title, "Go88 - Go 88 CEW 🎖️ Tải Go88 Link Mới Nhất 2026 - Go88.com", promises the "latest Go88 download link for 2026" and name-drops the brand's main domain to appear official. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-09. When last checked on 2026-10-19, the site was still online and serving content.

How the scam works

Brands like Go88 are often reached through constantly changing mirror links, so players are used to searching for a "new link". Copycat domains exploit that habit by posing as the current official mirror. Once a visitor trusts the page, it can capture account logins, take deposits that never reach a real account, or push app downloads from outside official stores. A victim can lose their Go88 credentials, any money deposited through the page, and possibly control of their phone if they install a rogue app.

Evidence

Five of 92 VirusTotal engines flag the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar, as of 2026-10-17. That is a low count, but five unrelated vendors reaching the same verdict on a weeks-old domain is meaningful. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers are tracking it. Among blocklists, it is currently listed by PhishDestroy.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Spaceship, Inc. on 2026-09-17, only 22 days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap is typical of lookalike domains built for a quick campaign. Traffic passes through Cloudflare (IP 188.114.96.3, located in Canada), which hides the real origin server from visitors. The Let's Encrypt certificate means the padlock icon only shows an encrypted connection. It does not prove the site belongs to Go88.

What to do

If you entered a Go88 username or password here, change it right away through the brand's genuine channel. Change it anywhere else you reused it too. If you sent a deposit, contact your bank or payment provider immediately. Do not pay any extra "unlock" or "verification" fee the site asks for.
