PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

fragment.gifts is on the PhishDestroy blocklist as a suspicious domain. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-10-06. Its name pairs "fragment" with a "gifts" extension, which can read like an offer of free collectibles or rewards. No specific brand impersonation has been confirmed. As of 2026-10-19 the site still responds, but its DNS no longer serves active content.

How the scam works

The page carries only the title "Loading", a blank holding screen that reveals nothing until scripts run or a visitor is redirected. Pages like this often act as a front door: a lure about gifts or giveaways brings the visitor in, and the real content loads only afterward. A no-name domain with that kind of lure usually means the risk is a request to sign in, enter personal details, or approve something you did not expect. The evidence shows a suspicious site, but no confirmed scheme or stolen asset type is attributed to it.

Evidence

On 2026-10-07, VirusTotal showed 7 of 92 engines flagging the domain: alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Kaspersky and LevelBlue. That is a minority of engines, but the vendors run separate detection pipelines, so their agreement within a day of PhishDestroy's sighting carries weight. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as spam. It also appears in 2 AlienVault OTX threat pulses.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-08-11 through HOSTINGER operations, UAB, 56 days before PhishDestroy picked it up. A domain that is registered and then left unused for weeks is a common pattern for disposable lure sites. It is hosted in Finland on AS132359 (M/S ROBI TRADERS). Its Let's Encrypt certificate means the padlock icon only shows an encrypted connection, not a trustworthy operator.

What to do

Do not return to fragment.gifts or follow links to it. If you typed a password there, change it wherever you reuse it and turn on two-factor authentication. If you connected a crypto wallet or signed a prompt, review and revoke any unfamiliar approvals with a reputable approval checker, and move funds if you are unsure what you signed.
