PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

foudux.com is an impersonation phishing site aimed at cryptocurrency users. It posed as a legitimate crypto service so visitors would trust it with their wallets. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-05. The site went offline on 2026-09-11, and on 2026-10-19 its DNS was no longer resolving.

How the scam works

The page showed no meaningful title, only an ellipsis, so the brand it copied is not identified. urlscan.io tagged it under the generic cryptoscam category. Sites like this copy the look of a familiar wallet, exchange or dApp, then ask the visitor to connect a wallet, type in a seed phrase, or sign a transaction or token approval presented as a routine step. A seed phrase gives the operator full control of the wallet. A signed approval lets them move the approved tokens without asking again. In both cases the funds can be gone within minutes.

Evidence

urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict for the site. The domain appears on the MetaMask, ScamSniffer and SEAL blocklists as well as PhishDestroy's, so wallet-focused defenders reached the same conclusion independently. VirusTotal coverage was thin: on 2026-09-06 only 4 of 90 engines (alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar) flagged it, so most general-purpose scanners would have let it through. It is also referenced in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-07-20 through Fewmoretaps OU d/b/a Trustname.com, about seven weeks before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap fits a domain registered in advance and switched on for a short campaign. Traffic was served through Cloudflare's network (US), which hides the real origin server. Its active life was brief: about six days passed between detection and the site going offline.

What to do

If you connected a wallet to foudux.com, use a token-approval checker to review and revoke any permissions you granted there, and move remaining assets if anything looks wrong. If you entered a seed phrase or private key, treat that wallet as compromised. Create a new wallet and transfer funds out immediately, because revoking approvals will not protect an exposed seed. Do not reuse that wallet. Defenders should keep the domain blocked even though it is offline, watch for lookalike names on the same registrar and hosting pattern, and report new sightings to wallet blocklist providers.
