PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

fortinvx.com is an impersonation phishing site, built to pass itself off as a legitimate service so visitors hand over access they would never give a stranger. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-16, less than three weeks after the domain was created. As of 2026-10-19 the site still responds, but its phishing content is no longer active.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages copy the look, wording and flow of a real platform, then ask for whatever unlocks the victim's account or money: login credentials, one-time codes, a seed phrase, or a deposit. Whatever is typed in goes straight to the operator, who uses it to empty accounts or wallets before the victim notices. The page title on this domain shows only a generic "Loading" screen, while we classify the site as impersonation phishing.

Evidence

Eight of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-29: alphaMountain.ai, Bfore.Ai PreCrime, CRDF, CyRadar, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That count is modest, but it comes from unrelated vendors reaching the same verdict independently. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as a spam domain, and it appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses. Beyond PhishDestroy, it is not yet on other major blocklists, so many browsers may not warn visitors.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-08-29 through TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown and was caught 18 days later. That gap is typical of disposable phishing domains that are set up quickly and used for a short campaign. It is hosted on the M/S ROBI TRADERS network in Turkey, and it uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so a padlock in the address bar says nothing about whether the site is trustworthy.

What to do

If you signed in on this site, change that password at once, along with any account that reuses it. Turn on app-based or hardware two-factor authentication, and review recent logins and withdrawals. If you typed a seed phrase or private key, treat that wallet as compromised and move any remaining funds to a new wallet created on a clean device. If you sent money, report it to the real platform and your local police; do not pay anyone promising to recover it. Defenders should block the domain and its hosting IP at DNS and proxy level, and search mail and web logs for users who visited it.
