PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

fnchek.skin is an impersonation phishing site that copies a legitimate service so visitors will trust it with sensitive information. Its page title reads only "Loading", which names no brand even though we classify the site as impersonation. PhishDestroy first saw the domain on 2026-09-18. As of 2026-10-19 the site still answered, but its DNS was no longer resolving the phishing content.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages borrow the look, wording and flow of a known service so the victim acts as they would on the real one. The usual targets are account credentials, one-time codes, wallet recovery phrases, or a payment the victim believes is legitimate. A bare "Loading" screen is often what a visitor sees before the cloned interface appears. Anything typed into the page goes straight to the operators, who can then take over accounts or empty wallets.

Evidence

On 2026-09-29, 10 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. They included alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Kaspersky and SOCRadar. That is a minority of engines, but the flagging vendors are unrelated companies reaching the same verdict on their own. The domain appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows other researchers are tracking it. PhishDestroy is the only blocklist confirmed to list it, so some browsers and filters may not yet warn users.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Gname.com Pte. Ltd. on 2026-05-31, about 110 days before we detected it. That suggests it was set up in advance and activated later. It resolves to 109.238.86.76 on the UFO Technologies Limited network in Great Britain. The free Let's Encrypt certificate gives the page a browser padlock, but that only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the site is trustworthy.

What to do

If you entered a password on fnchek.skin, change it on the real service and on any account that shares it, then turn on app-based two-factor authentication. If you typed a wallet recovery phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and move its funds to a new wallet created from a fresh phrase. If you made a payment, contact your bank or exchange immediately. Defenders should block the domain and its IP, search proxy and DNS logs for visits since 2026-09-18, and reset credentials for any users who reached it.
