PhishDestroy threat report
flnanzonlinebmfgv.net is an impersonation phishing page that presented itself as FinanzOnline, the Austrian government's online tax service. The domain is a typosquat: "flnanz" swaps the letter i for an l, and "bmfgv" mimics the ministry and government naming of the genuine portal. It targets taxpayers who might follow a link expecting an official tax notice or refund. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-25. The site has been offline since 2026-09-27 and was still unreachable on 2026-10-19.
Victims arrive at a page titled "FinanzOnline" that copies the look of the official tax portal. Lures for schemes like this typically promise a pending refund or warn of an overdue payment. The page then asks for login credentials, personal identity details and often bank or card information to "process" the refund. Whatever is entered goes straight to the operators, who can hijack the tax account, commit identity fraud or drain payment cards.
Twelve of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain when it was checked on 2026-09-29. The flagging vendors include BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, CRDF and alphaMountain.ai. That count is modest, but it comes from several major independent vendors. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and specifically recognised the Govat brand on the page. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as spam, and four AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it.
The domain was registered through TUCOWS.COM, CO. on 2026-09-17, only eight days before PhishDestroy detected it. It went dark two days after detection, a short lifespan typical of disposable phishing domains. It was hosted on SWISSNET LLC in Switzerland. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gave the page a browser padlock, which proves nothing about who runs a site.
If you entered your FinanzOnline credentials, change that password immediately through the official portal and review your account for changes to contact details, bank accounts or submitted filings. If you reuse that password anywhere else, change it there too, and enable two-factor authentication wherever you can. If you supplied card or bank details, contact your bank to block the card and watch for unauthorised transactions. Defenders should block the domain and similar typosquats of the FinanzOnline brand, and search mail logs for messages linking to it.

Dated changes retained by the monitor and source collectors. Newest observations appear first; source states are not proof of a takedown.
